My estimated price for this laptop is $799

    +- $4000
  • kenansadhu - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

It can even surpass that =)

    Hehehe... :-)

Just got done breaking into one of their offices, I stole one and scored 3200 in cash from a safe in the back, I'm in the -4000 demographic!

Yay! I'm at high settings! :) 100 FPS on everything! (hears sirens in the distance) Uh oh :(

$4000?, the current one's are $4999 and worse than this

    Most likely $5500
  • AntDX316 - Friday, September 2, 2016 - link

The funnest thing is you can't even get a 1080 GTX mobile w/o having it in an SLI computer that cost no less than $5000!!

    Bitch please!

    I just nailed that laptop!
  • TheMonkeyBlue - Sunday, February 5, 2017 - link

    So... It's $9000
  • Jon Tseng - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

    That's not /really/ a laptop is it? It's an all-in-one with a hinged screen!
  • Samus - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

Yeah we are definitely muddying the definition of Notebook calling a 21" portable computer that is the size of an AIO a notebook. Maybe clamshell desktop?
  • nikon133 - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

Pump some iron in your thighs, and you can probably hold one of these on your lap ;)

I can easily see younger Arnold Schwarzenegger doing it, with very little to no sweat. Maybe even Stallone. On a good day.

AIOs usually don't have a keyboard built in... (or high-end hardware, for that matter). I'd say this one is in a class of its own.
  • Lord of the Bored - Monday, September 5, 2016 - link

It could hardly be called all-in-one if you still had to add a keyboard.
  • japtor - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

So what's the battery life on this thing?

...does it even have a battery?
  • Findecanor - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen ... The return of the "luggable" computer of the early '80s.

A curved screen make sense only when it is ultrawide, instead of having two.
  • ZoZo - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

I don't know what your definition of ultrawide is, but, unless the pixels aren't square, the screen has a 21:9 ratio, which is wider than 16:9.
  • Findecanor - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

When I say "ultrawide screen" I refer to the width of the actual screen, not the aspect ratio of the video signal that would fill it. I was thinking of ultrawide desktop screens in the order of 34" diagonal in 21:9 aspect ratio, for which there are examples from LG, Samsung, Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Phillips etc.
Please excuse me for not being specific.

IMHO, going with a wider aspect ratio makes sense only if you have first achieved enough vertical size. A 34" 21:9 screen is about as high as a 27" screen in 16:9 aspect ratio.
The Acer screen here is only as high as a 16.7" screen in 16:9 aspect ratio - which is not small for a laptop, but considering how this machine is in other dimensions I think that it should have been higher. That lid has some huge borders at the top and bottom.

    Luggable, hmmmm...

You might have something there. Attach a pair of wheels and a retractable handle...
  • milkod2001 - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

From Acer marketing dep: Super thick is a new slim :)
  • HollyDOL - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

Those fans look interesting, I am quite curious about the loudness of that thing.

The spiritual successor of the Dell XPS M2010 is here!
  • BrokenCrayons - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

Acer - We bypassed "brick" in favor of "cinder block." Why? Because Kaby Lake!
  • Jammrock - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

The Break-Your-Laptop's are back. I thought we got rid of those in the 90's.

Predator... All I can think of is Chris Hansen surprising pedophiles. Who wants their device to have a giant predator logo on it?
  • fanofanand - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

The consumers who can't afford this, that's who.
  • Bobs_Your_Uncle - Wednesday, August 31, 2016 - link

This is Acer, of course, but surely even they wouldn't release this beast without at least 1 USB C 3.1 port that's Thunderbolt capable. The spec is still open, I guess ...

    THIS IS SOOOOO COOL

    Hahahahahahahahaahahahahaha!!!
That is possibly the funniest thing that I have read ALL YEAR!!!
An Individual by the Username of: 'ryanrazer' is completely out of his mind! He wrote this following joke:

"My estimated price for this laptop is $799" - OK, that part is obviously a joke...
but then continues on "+- $4000" - Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

Can anybody believe this dude??? A "Laptop" with a 21 inch screen, 7th Generation Intel CPU, then the biggie --> Not 1 but 2 Nvidia GTX 1080 Video Cards running in Full SLI!!!
This thing is an absolute monster of a beast, and would absolutely NOT run shy of around $7000, in which one who purchases would NOT see much, if ANY change from that figure
    whatsoever!!!
