This bundle is likely an indication of how well Vega is (isn't) selling. Having two AAA titles this early in the product's life span doesn't bode well. A good bundle, nonetheless.

If it's not selling then that's a loss for the ones not buying :)

The way I see it, AMD Radeon Fury X (when launched) was always a few steps behind GF 980 Ti.

2 years later, the AMD Radeon Fury X smashes the GF 980 Ti in 99% of the games at FullHD and 4K UHD.

I guess nVIDIA buyers enjoyed 1 year of performance advantage and will spend all the other years behind the AMD Fury X, until they upgrade.

That unless a new nVIDIA driver will KILL their GPU like in the past.

It's an nVIDIA exclusive "advantage" ;)

Oh ... before anybody asks for a link or something : https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/GTX_1070_...

Here's a fresh review of an nVIDIA card that also shows how the AMD Radeon Fury X is doing today.

I have the feeling AMD VEGA will be a similar situation in its price range.

    You have mixed things up.
Fury X is behind in performance as it was before. It, as before, enjoys to be faster than the GTX980Ti in few games.
See how it behaves with Destiny 2.

What you linked are graphs where the value (that is the price) of the GPU is considered which is different from what you were talking about.
Just click on performance graphs and see where the Fury X is placed against the GTX980Ti.

Get your mind together, then return with more convincing arguments on why a 18 month late GPU that sucks like a rocket should be preferred.

They're completely sold out on Newegg. Even if it's supply issues (lack of stock), what stock there is, is all consistently sold out. Lately bundles have been done to make them less attractive to miners.

If its not selling as well as they want, the issue is that there is no AIB cards. Most do NOT want a reference card.

Agreed. I picked up a watercooled model because apparently the stock cooler on the Vega 64 is nearly as bad as the "turbine sounding" reference 290x I had years ago. That, and the more consistent clockrates.

Phone reviews? Seriously? All phones are the same made by the same Chinese guy full with apps by the same Indian guy. All of them can't hold a day of charge. All of them get hot. All of them shatter in peaces if dropped because Gorilla glass and you just have thrown a few hundred bucks down the toilet.
Well, I just reviewed all phones past and future +/-5 years fdom now.

Those deals are good and performance sure is there but stock cards? Custom GPUs nowhere to be seen 3 months after Vega announcement. Pretty pathetic. Wonder how long it will take Raja to go sabbatical frenzy in Intel with his work this time.
  • Stuka87 - Monday, November 27, 2017 - link

AMD, these deals are great. But please just let the AIB's release their cards. Many (myself included) do not want a reference card.

This isn't a "New" promotion, it's the same garbage they executed at launch. They briefly released a lot at retail prices early in November $499 and $399, which was quickly bought up. Amazon said restock expected by 28 November, that has come and gone with no new inventory. Has AMD solely gone to selling Vega chips to AIB sales?
